Seventy percent of all travel decisions are made by women, regardless of who they travel with, who pays for the trip or where they go.
More than 42 million Americans say they have taken at least one trip in the past year to go on a honeymoon, celebrate an anniversary

Of couples surveyed who took a romantic getaway in the last 12 months, one-half took one such trip (51%), one-fourth took two

Married couples are travelers. They represent the largest group of travelers, with 61% of all trips being taken by

Romantic travelers have an average annual household income of $67,000, as compared to all other U.S. adults, with an average

Half of all U.S. adults (101.9 million) say that they use the travel media -everything from newspaper travel sections and
television travel shows to online newsletters- to plan their vacations. Twenty-eight percent say they used newspaper travel
sections to plan their travel in the past year, 21% used an Internet web site for their travel planning and 21% used television
