Johnson Media Inc. Chosen from Thousands of Bids to Help Kenyan Government Overcome Tourism Slump amidst Political Turmoil

ATLANTA (April 24, 2008) - Johnson Media Inc. was recently chosen from thousands of international companies to help the Kenyan government and tourism board overcome a catastrophic decline in tourism caused by the recent election dispute and violence in Nairobi.

Over the next year, Johnson Media Inc. will work closely with the government and tourism board to assure tourists around the globe that Kenya is safe to visit and that the current government's agreement to share power will endure without further problems.

Specifically, Johnson Media Inc. will contribute to creating and implementing the overall crisis management strategy and aggressive marketing campaign to regain Kenya's thriving tourism-based economy. The realization of such work will be evinced primarily through television programming and commercials.

Since January of this year, Kenya's number of visitors has declined almost 60 percent, a devastating blow considering that Kenya is Africa's most successful vacation destination. The east African country has been popular with Europeans, Americans, and Canadians for its wildlife parks and Indian Ocean coastline.

"We are very proud to have won the business and confidence of the Kenyan government. However, we realize that a nation is hurting and needs immediate help to counteract the results of negative international press. Having recently visited several places throughout the country, I know firsthand that the country is safe for tourists to return", said Kevin D. Johnson, President of Johnson Media Inc.

"Outlook for recovery is positive. We have been through the worst," said Rebecca Nabutola, a senior official in the Ministry of Tourism.

On Tuesday, April 29, Johnson Media Inc. will host Kenyan tourism board officials in Atlanta during their North American press tour. A private VIP reception and press conference will be held at the Mzima Springs Pavilion at Zoo Atlanta.
